SantorinialiasHeaven

When I first heard something was built on a Volcano, I had a quick gulp of my thorat….to let it sink in..I know it was not something death-dealing but jus the thought did put in a dilemma of going there or not?
Santorini officially Known as Theraa also spelled asThira, Greek, is a volcanic island located in the south of Aegean Sea…..Thirasia is a key point to realize the history of Santorini and experience moments of real Greek life.
Day 1, in the morning we collected information from the hotel about travel and found out that the best way to see most of the Island was to hire a bike
and when in an Island what best can you do but to first jus hit the beach…..Santorini has some captivating beaches, different from each other…Beach Perissa for its bluish blue water….Red beach for red stone water….., of course Indian skin doesn’t need much of tanning, but who does not want a glass of chilling beer with a masseur and all you do is absorb the beauty in and relax ..

The island has been distinguished for ages for its mesmerizing beauty, cuisine and culture….. Evening was a stroll down the city and then had to go with the greek cuisine of greek salad with sundried tomatoes, lamm, feta cheese and lots of olive oil…..
Day 2 .....Wineries: Santorini has been known for the wines…and ofcourse I am honest about the fact that I just hate the smell of white wines and the red of the red ones….But he likes it…and I have been fascinated of grape crushing and wine making as a process..and in the winery I saw how a nut or a grape is put into so many levels to finally bring to your table a sparkling glass of wine…..
then headed to the tourist hub area the main city of Santorini Fira, it is such a polished beauty, calm, with ...church bells ringing, the everlasting smell of olives and beautiful sceneric view of the deep blue water…..I ofcourse indulged myself to some shopping there :)

Day 3 Oia, the village, I would say time has stood still there and all the old traditional rhythms are so captivating and Picturesque ,,,The look of fishermen, small family tavernas, white small houses carved on the stone, narrow paved streets compose a fascinating scenery. ….We headed first to our hotel to place our luggage , but….to call it a hotel will be a sheer under estimation of this beautifully preserved traditional greek house or a row of houses owned by a lady….who is all dozing on India and visits Varanasi twice every year….

Evening we had to be at the much talked about Sunset of santorini,

Due to the fact that the romantic Santorini sunset is so potent, couples prefer to spend the late afternoons in the company of each other…and I would say a novel way of experiencing the Santorini sunset is to stand by the traditional tavernas with some mystical greek musik in the background and watch the sun beautifully merging or I Would say surrender itself in the sea….
The typical smell of white painted nonspherical walls with blue on the roof….It was his bday and couldnt get better with traditional greek pastries in a greek house.—not withgreek man though ;)
The landscapes of the island are of unmatched and incomparable beauty will surely give you moments that will remain forever etched in your memories….
.If the word beautiful had a face….it would be a picture of Santoirni ISLANDS…..HEAVEN, CAPTIVATING, AN EXPERIENCE TO NEVER FORGET……..Morning we headed to RodosIsland……continued…..
Not to be missed: the sunset, greek cuisine, Heliophos, red stone beach…Fira…
